Basic Ingredients of Vanilla tea scones

  1. You need 600 g of self raising flour.
  2. Prepare 200 g of butter.
  3. You need 160 g of suger.
  4. You need of I cup milk.
  5. Prepare 1 tsp of vanilla essence.
  6. It's 1 of egg for egg wash.
  7. Prepare 1 tbsp of sultanas or raisins,, presoaked.

Vanilla tea scones instructions

  1. Prepare baking sheet and dust lightly with flour..
  2. Weigh all your ingredients,, sift flour, rub in butter until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs then add the sultanas.
  3. Make a well at the center, pour suger and milk, stir to dissolve the suger though it may not dissolve completely. Incorporate the flour to make a dough, not that smooth like for chapati.
  4. Roll out into 1inch thickness and cut into your desired shape, i cut mine round. Arrange on the baking tray and egg wash or milk wash and bake at 180d for 20mins or until well browned..
  5. Cool them on a wire rack and serve with milk,, tea or juice..
